Sound Choir

Our Heart

The Choir is a biblical model of worship employed from the Old Testament (think Psalms) through the New Testament (think Revelation’s throne room). When people walk into service on a Sunday morning they see men and women who look like them, worshipping the Lord and singing to Him from their hearts. They lead by example and can create a powerful worship atmosphere. Choirs also empower the Church to take a more proactive role in participating in worship.

What to Expect

Our choir serves our church to provide theologically thoughtful worship. We’re led by a skillful and passionate choir director, Martha Davis. Anyone is welcome to get involved. We have choir robes but usually opt for whatever we’ve decided to wear for church that morning as it helps the congregation to “see themselves” on the stage. We sing classic hymns as well as modern songs. Practice is on Wednesday nights. The Choir primarily serves on Sunday mornings at the 9:00AM service in the traditional sanctuary. In addition, there are several events throughout the year for choir members to serve in like our Advent Festival.
